Registering for Calgary West Little League


Calgary West Little League provides baseball programs in eight divisions for boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 16. Operating under the umbrella of Little League International, the program is unique among youth sports in that there is a highly-structured, highly-principled and internationally consistent set of rules and governance. Little League charters are granted for specific geographic jurisdictions with CWLL holding the charter for the geographic area that covers parts of West Calgary and Springbank.

Please confirm that you are eligible to play at Calgary West Little League by looking at our residency requirements on the " League Boundaries " page. Any player who resides or attends a school within the CWLL league boundaries is eligible to play at CWLL. New players not previously registered with Calgary West Little League last season must register online, and also provide Proof of Current Address and Proof of Age of Child when completing the online registration.
Three (3) documents providing proof of current address such as a utility, cable or telephone bill, insurance records, driver's license, OR a document providing proof of current school being attended such as a report card, valid school identification card or school enrollment form are required as well as proof of age of child such as a birth certificate or passport. The proof of current address documents must be dated between February 1, 2023 and February 1, 2024. School documents need to be from the 2023-24 school year. New players should also confirm that they live or go to school the one of the CWLL designated communities.
CWLL Communities: Altadore, Aspen Estates, Bankview Bragg Creek, Christie Estates, Christie Park, Coach Hill, Cougar Ridge, Currie, Discovery Ridge, Garrison Woods, Glamorgan, Glendale, Glendale Meadows, Glengarry, Killarney, Knob Hill, Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Montreaux, North Glenmore, Patterson, Prominence Point, Redwood Meadows, Richmond Hill, Rosscarrock, Scarboro, Shaganappi, Signal Hill, Signature Park, South Calgary, Springbank, Springbank Hill, Springborough, Spruce Cliff, Strathcona Park, Sunalta, , Westgate, West Springs, Wildwood.
Players must register in the appropriate division based on their age as noted in the chart below. To determine your child's league age for the 2025 baseball season please click on the following link "LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL AGE DETERMINATION DATE" .Final assignment of 7 to 16 year old players to Rookie, Minor, Major, Intermediate, Junior or Senior divisions will be done after the player evaluation process is completed. Please refer to the “Parents” page for more information about player evaluations.
Registration Fees for baseball divisions are as follows:Blastball - Ages 4 and 5 - Registration fees are $150
TBall - Ages 5 and 6 - Registration fees are $150
Rookieball - Ages 7 and 8 - Registration fees are $250
Minors - Ages 9 and 10 - Registration fees are $375
Majors - Ages 11 and 12 - Registration fees are $375
Intermediate - Age 13 - Registration fees are $375
Junior - Age 14 - Registration fees are $375
Senior - Ages 15 and 16 - Registration fees are $375
NOTE: For Minors and up the registration fee increase to $425 effective March 1, 2025 due to player evaluation requirements and league administration for the older divisions.
All league registrations close March 31, 2025.
Practices and games will be on Tuesdays at: 6 pm - 7 pm at Westgate Diamonds - 4943 8 Ave SW.
All equipment and uniforms are provided courtesy of the JaysCare Foundation. The baseball diamond is provided by CWLL.
- $25.00 non-refundable fee for any player that withdraws before evaluations are conducted for their division or, in the case of Blastball and T-Ball, before their teams are formed.
- $75.00 non-refundable fee for any player that withdraws after evaluations have taken place for the Rookie, Minor or Major and Teenage Divisions.*
- No refund will be issued after a player has been assigned to a team and participates in a game(s). Team assignments happen in March.
Q: When does the House League Season start?
A: The House League seasons starts the last week of April and runs through the 3rd week of June.
Q: How many games/practices would be scheduled per week?
A:This varies by age group but you can expect to have approximately 2 to 3 practices/games per week.

HOUSE LEAGUE (ALL DIVISIONS)
Looking for competition and fast action? Register for our Spring Baseball House League.
House League is for players in all divisions from Blast ball to Teenage. Practices and games start as early as late-April and end following a fun and competitive playoff series.

DEVELOPMENT DIVISION (10U & 12U)
After a successful launch in 2025, CWLL is continuing our Development Division for the 2026 season.
This program is designed for players who are Little League age 9–12 and new to baseball, or for returning players who prefer a more gradual transition into full gameplay. The Development Division focuses on skill-building, confidence, and fun, combining technical instruction with scrimmage-style games. Sessions will take place two days per week (dates and times to be confirmed).

CHALLENGER DIVISION
Our Challenger Division is is an adaptive baseball program with a focus on fun for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges. Challenger baseball is available for players between the ages of 4-18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school.
Registration is always open with regular season play starting every April!

ALL STARS SUMMER BASEBALL
Our All Stars program showcases the best of Calwest's Minor & Major age players. This highly competitive summer travel program runs June - August long weekend and includes an opportunity to compete for a Regional title and more.
